Saul Alvarado: My friend Saul had been sending me tuneage for several months now, but only (just) finally published a full 5-tune set for review here. He plays some astounding guitar pieces that will have your ears on the edge, no doubt. I found the “strat-like” environments he paints on “Sunday 6 00 AM” most enjoyable… swirl, swirl, swirl, to be sure. There’s also a strong touch of experimental in “Lisergic Cat” – but it was the down & funky “Bottom Suite” that I found most enjoyable. Cool tunes, cool breezes, lots of variety.
